500 Word Plot
An Unlikely Friend
The story start off with the main character
being shown as isolated from all of his friends and family. We get the sense that he is very unhappy and
is clearly not involved in anything important.
We start off seeing a number of different scenes involving him with his
supposed group of friends and also around his family. Both of the scenarios highlight to the
audience how he is not acknowledged or spoken to by anyone.
The story takes us through his day-to-day
life for both school days and weekends and we get a sense that he is still not
wanted anywhere. We start to feel sorry
for the character as it is clear that he has no-one to talk to or that
understands him. As the story progresses
we get flashbacks to a few years previous that highlight how he used to be a
very lively young boy who was appreciated by all of his friends and also how
his family used to be so proud. We are
then taken through a period where he falls into a deep depression due to his
parents divorcing. We are taken into his
everyday activities around his friends and we can gradually see a change in his
behavior but his friends take no notice and simply ignore him because they
think he wants attention.
The story unfolds to highlight how he finds
‘An Unlikely Friend’ in an old lady. He
sees the woman every Saturday morning and one morning he sees her struggling
and builds up the courage to offer her help which is something that he would
not usually have the confidence to do.
The story is going to go back to normal for a while leaving the audience
wondering whether or not he is going to help the lady again the next time he
sees her.
The story then takes us to him seeing her
again and helping her once again. The
old lady offers him inside for some tea and the unlikely friendship begins. His mum, whom he lives with, starts to see a
change in him as do his friends. As the
story progresses it is clear that his life has changed back to how we see it to
be in the flashback.
Much in the future we are shown him going
over to the old lady’s house. He rings
to doorbell but no-one answers… He continues to ring the doorbell and when she
doesn’t answer he goes around the back to the door that he knows is always
open. He enters he house to find her
asleep on the sofa. He wakes her up and
all is well. A few days later he goes
back to the house and the same situation arises, however this time he is unable
to wake her up and devastation kicks in.
He returns home to sit in his room and
decide what to do. We are left seeing
him slowly returning back into his reserved state when suddenly he begins to realize
everything that she told him. He begins
to come out of his state and stays the same energetic lively boy that he was
whilst she was alive. Flash forwards are
used to show him happy with his friends and at home with his mum.

Final Conversation
This is the final version of my conversation video and I think that it has worked out really well. Despite the shakiness of the camera the shots are generally pretty good and I especially like the way that the door shot worked out. It flows very well and I like the overall way in which it blends into the video.
I added music and titles to the video to make it seem more professional and it has worked really well. I especially think that the music has worked really well with the video because the beat works with the changing of the shot types, which is highly effective.
