I like the first poster due to the way that the characters are one behind the other. I also like the way that the characters are both smiling showing a mutual enjoyment and happiness which I think would work replicate the main idea in the film really well. This idea would essentially represent the friendship between the two characters that we are going to be likely to see if we are to watch the film.
I really like the way that the second poster has been laid out, with the two characters being shown in a relatable environment, enjoying each others company. I think that this would be a good way to show my own characters, as it seperates them from the rest of the people around them, which I think is very effective. I also like the positioning of all of the writing. It draws the audience into the idea of the film and gets them more in the know of what the film is about, through the title that is very large on the poster. I also think it works well with the characters name presented at the top of the poster so that we can see it, but not so much that it takes away from everything else.
The Blind Side poster is also effective because they have managed to show the characters relationship without being shown their faces. We work everything out from their body language which I think is very effective. I also like the simpleness of the text on the page. The very basic title and actor name accompanied by the strapline at the top of the page is designed to draw in the audience as people are generally more attracted to the idea of a true story as it is usually somewhat more relatable.
